But to his dismay, Edelmiro Honrio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Fierrazo Social Club's Melquiades Beila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edelmiro Honrio in the 31st minute of play. Edelmiro Honrio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Melquiades Beila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edelmiro Honrio in the 36th minute of play. The supporters of Fierrazo Social Club booed when Melba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edelmiro Honrio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Fierrazo Social Club's goalkeeper Melquiades Beila, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Melquiades Beila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Chan in the 44th minute of the match. A collision led to Fierrazo Social Club getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Aaron Txeru hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The referee felt a red card was in order, 88 minutes into the game, when Jacinto Daunte put in a rough tackle. 87 minutes into the game, one of Melba:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 91st minute there was a penalty for Fierrazo Social Club. Fernan Onofre stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rogelio Jeraldo. 1-1. In the 97th minute, Leopoldo Giro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fierrazo Social Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1.
