After a rather tough play, Atreyus's Joaquin Loramendi got a free kick in the 26th minute. Ceferino Ulizes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Lizer, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Artemio Seguinus was a little too slow when Marcos Cugat got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 2-0. After 42 minutes, Rafael Jerrold mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caute FC and the Atreyus players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Atreyus booed when Caute FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Jerrold didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Cugat struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Artemio Seguinus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caute FC. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcos Cugat to make the kick off. Ceferino Ulizes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Baleren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tomás Stanislao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Stanislao in the 57th minute of play forced Atreyus's goalkeeper Artemio Seguinus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Pablo Lizer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dario Lertxun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Artemio Seguinus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Stanislao, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Tomás Stanislao's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artemio Seguinus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. 76 minutes into the game, Marcos Cugat cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Artemio Seguinus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Artemio Seguinus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Stanislao in the 80th minute of play. After 81 played minutes Caute FC got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Rami. When Adan Erruki fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caute FC's protests and gave Adan Erruki a yellow card for diving instead. In the 87th match minute, Caute FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adan Erruki to maneuver through the defense. Atreyus's Bernardo Matro couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 88th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Caute FC. Artemio Seguinus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Stanislao in the 90th minute of play. Caute FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
