The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angel Ermano during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domingos Silvanito couldn't finish the play. Agustin Endira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Ruben Emmanuel made a huge save. In the 39th match minute, Club Atletico Puntanos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimiro Txaran to maneuver through the defense. Ruben Emmanuel was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ignacio Dunixi. Feliberto Astudillo took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Honorio Pirmin. Honorio Pirmin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Feliberto Astudillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Feliberto Astudillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Honorio Pirmin made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Feliberto Astudillo in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Honorio Pirmin saved Manantial from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Atletico Puntanos's Feliberto Astudillo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Honorio Pirmin. That made the score 1-3 after 58 minutes of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 61 minutes into the game, when Vladimiro Txaran put in a rough tackle. Siro Gonzales recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atletico Puntanos's goalkeeper Ruben Emmanuel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
