All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jaime Toli to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Aldo Damario had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eleuterio Foro. Mateo Oier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eleuterio Foro having to interfere. After 65 played minutes Club Atlético River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Bartoli. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético River Plate's zone, Silvio Eguzki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eleuterio Foro came out of the goal and Silvio Eguzki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aldo Damario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eleuterio Foro having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Aldo Damario managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arroyito's supporters rose to their feet, but Aldo Damario was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eleuterio Foro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
