Benigno Danel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambrosio Salvadore, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 37 minutes into the match, LICEO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Dalmau came free, but Benigno Danel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damian Dalmau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benigno Danel having to interfere. When Damian Dalmau came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Club Atlético Ventana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Dalmau couldn't finish the play. Damian Dalmau struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Benigno Danel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Ventana. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ambrosio Salvadore to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Saturnino Pelagius during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Ventana's zone, Vladimiro Asur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matias Cerilo came out of the goal and Vladimiro Asur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baldomero Guifre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matias Cerilo having to interfere. Matias Cerilo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomero Guifre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vladimiro Asur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Matias Cerilo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
