Cymbaline's Robustiano Rafel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saul Distiratsu in the 10th minute of play. Marciano Gorri's late challenge caught a Caraguatay FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marciano Gorri helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Saul Distiratsu took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Robustiano Rafel to make any attempt to save it. Hugo Abadia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robustiano Rafel having to make a save. Fulgencio Umea kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Luis Pelayo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Uzuri in the 30th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Caraguatay FC's Fulgencio Umea got a free kick in the 41st minute. Marciano Gorri, 42 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Fulgencio Quinito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caraguatay FC's Luis Pelayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Uzuri in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Isidoro Uzuri to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Isidoro Uzuri fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Luis Pelayo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Uzuri in the 59th minute of the match. Saul Distiratsu struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Robustiano Rafel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caraguatay FC. 69 minutes into the game, one of Cymbaline:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Caraguatay FC a penalty, 70 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Amadeo Quiroga, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cymbaline's Robustiano Rafel. 3-0. 76 minutes into the match, Caraguatay FC's Hugo Abadia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robustiano Rafel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 81st minute of the match, Isidoro Uzuri tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Luis Pelayo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Fulgencio Quinito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Luis Pelayo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amadeo Quiroga hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Caraguatay FC's zone, Fulgencio Quinito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luis Pelayo came out of the goal and Fulgencio Quinito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Amadeo Quiroga fell near the penalty area in the 100th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caraguatay FC's protests and gave Amadeo Quiroga a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Caraguatay FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 100th minute. Penalty! For all the effort they put into the match, the Cymbaline players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Caraguatay FC.
