Basureros de Quilmes Jr.'s David Herensuge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Milian in the 7th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Tortugas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Romeo Savion came free, but Segundo Lucero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aristides Milian in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Herensuge prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 21 minutes into the match, Basureros de Quilmes Jr.'s Edgard Ariando broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 31st minute Romeo Savion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Segundo Lucero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Romeo Savion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 36 minutes, Geronimo Barto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Basureros de Quilmes Jr.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Geronimo Barto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sergio Gaueko's late challenge caught a Tortugas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sergio Gaueko helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Tortugas FC booed when Basureros de Quilmes Jr. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Gaueko didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tortugas FC's zone, Romeo Savion stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Segundo Lucero came out of the goal and Romeo Savion tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After having played for 52 minutes, Edgard Ariando managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Basureros de Quilmes Jr.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgard Ariando was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edgard Ariando struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Segundo Lucero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Basureros de Quilmes Jr.. Romeo Savion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Lucero having to interfere. David Herensuge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saul Rik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Romeo Savion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 79 minutes, Anier Socorro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Basureros de Quilmes Jr. and the Tortugas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Anier Socorro hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the game, Saul Rik recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of David Herensuge. Saul Rik showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Romeo Savion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Lucero having to interfere.
