In the 8th match minute, Marlborough FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Cordarius to maneuver through the defense. After 11 played minutes Marlborough FC got a freekick which was hit by Raul Cedro. Hipolito Ursino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benigno Joachim to make the kick off. Jairo Faro made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Orlando Mambru sent off a good shot on target. Orlando Mambru's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jairo Faro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filiberto Hanni during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
