When Silvestre Mincho came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Arequito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvestre Mincho couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Virgilio Herena in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alejandro Mark prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 34 played minutes Arequito FC got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Bixintxo. After having played for 35 minutes, Joel Frasco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sportivo Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Frasco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leandro Rosio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Belmiro having to interfere. Sportivo Club's Damaso Beremundo got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Damaso Beremundo made the kick off in the second half. Alejandro Mark showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Herena, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Leandro Rosios short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Emanuel Belmiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Arequito FC's Emanuel Belmiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Arequito FC from getting a goal against them. Leandro Rosio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alejandro Mark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Herena in the 73rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sportivo Club's Anibal Duardo got a free kick in the 74th minute. When Arequito FC's Silvestre Mincho, in the 75th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Arequito FC. Hipolito Gonsalve kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Despite close surveillance by the defense, Joel Frasco managed to send off a shot that put the ball into the goal to the left of a disappointed goalkeeper. 0-1 in the 79th minute. With his leg Emanuel Belmiro managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Sportivo Club's Leandro Rosio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Damaso Beremundo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sportivo Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Damaso Beremundo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Belmiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 90 played minutes Arequito FC got a freekick which was hit by Dionisio Txilar. When Virgilio Herena came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Arequito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgilio Herena couldn't finish the play. Emanuel Belmiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leandro Rosio in the 98th minute. When the match was over Sportivo Club could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Arequito FC throughout the match.
