In the 24th minute, one of Sportivo Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sportivo Club. Alejandro Mark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Herena in the 29th minute of play. If Silvestre Mincho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sportivo Club's Alejandro Mark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Herena in the 36th minute of play. Silvestre Mincho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Alejandro Mark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anibal Duardo hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute Silvestre Mincho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejandro Mark saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Alejandro Mark yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. In the 72nd minute Santo Cayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Belmiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th match minute, Sportivo Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeronimo Constancio to maneuver through the defense. Emanuel Belmiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Rosio, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Emanuel Belmiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The Sportivo Club supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Arequito FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Arequito FC.
