Guido Urritz's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Modesto Eufrasio firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ruperto Raymon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fulgencio Mambru read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cucullú had won after a very even match.
