In the 29th minute Ruperto Tano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejandro Mark saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Cadetes de San Martin getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ciriaco Turi hit a great ball. If Damaso Beremundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bruno Romano was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 38th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Sportivo Club's Alejandro Mark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benito Quilo in the 41st minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Benito Quilo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Alejandro Mark was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leandro Rosio to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Cadetes de San Martin's zone, Leandro Rosio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramon Mosen came out of the goal and Leandro Rosio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Sportivo Club's Leandro Rosio in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Leandro Rosio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Mosen having to interfere. 76 minutes into the game, Jonathan Clis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cadetes de San Martin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sportivo Club the free kick. Jonathan Clis hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute, Benito Quilo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Benito Quilo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cadetes de San Martin's supporters rose to their feet, but Benito Quilo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alejandro Mark breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 95 minutes into the match, Sportivo Club's goal looked a bit too open when Benito Quilo came free, but Alejandro Mark reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Cadetes de San Martin supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cadetes de San Martin would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
