Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alvaro Sarracino ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Lino Ioritz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tortugas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lino Ioritz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Prudencio Prejun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hugo Tulio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 18 played minutes Tortugas FC got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Dino. Prudencio Prejun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Sarracino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hugo Tulio came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Vinicio Jacindo could save by the left post. 26 minutes into the game, one of Tortugas FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Lino Ioritz kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. When Faustino Nayely came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Fassi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Faustino Nayely couldn't finish the play. Hugo Tulio struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Vinicio Jacindo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fassi. If Faustino Nayely had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Faustino Nayely managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tortugas FC's Vinicio Jacindo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Tortugas FC from getting a goal against them. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lino Ioritz to strike the kick off in the second half. Fassi's Hugo Tulio got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Lino Ioritz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Prudencio Prejun. That made the score 0-1 in the 64 minute of play. After some careless play in the Tortugas FC defense, Hugo Tulio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vinicio Jacindo. The Tortugas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vinicio Jacindo should have stopped the shot. Nemesio Danel hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After 75 played minutes Fassi got a freekick which was hit by Nemesio Danel. 76 minutes into the game Jesus Telmo kicked a great long shot which passed Prudencio Prejun straight ahead into the goal, Result 1-2. One couldn't see Jesus Telmo behind all of his teammates who surrounded to congratulate him. Alvaro Sarracino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Prudencio Prejun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. The supporters of Fassi booed when Tortugas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Osoro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Hugo Tulio came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Fassi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Tulio couldn't finish the play. The Fassi supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tortugas FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Tortugas FC.
