Daniel Matteo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nemesio Batista having to interfere. Severiano Maraman kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severiano Maraman in the 7th minute of play forced La Naranja Mecanica's goalkeeper Nemesio Batista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Matteo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 12 minutes into the match, La Naranja Mecanica's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Matteo came free, but Nemesio Batista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Hughes FC's zone, Clemente Cordeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Goren came out of the goal and Clemente Cordeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 18 played minutes Hughes FC got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Orlin. In the 21st minute, Daniel Matteo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nemesio Batista was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Severiano Maraman struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Nemesio Batista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hughes FC. Nemesio Batista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severiano Maraman in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th minute Severiano Maraman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nemesio Batista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Hughes FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Edgardo Ruisko hit a great ball. When Hughes FC's Severiano Maraman in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye La Naranja Mecanica's goalie prevented a goal. Roberto Admon hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Nemesio Batista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Matteo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Clemente Cordeiro made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, La Naranja Mecanica's goalkeeper Nemesio Batista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Matteo. Diego Goren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Gilen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severiano Maraman couldn't finish the play. 74 minutes into the match, Daniel Matteo notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of La Naranja Mecanica's Nemesio Batista. Nemesio Batista was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, La Naranja Mecanica's Roberto Admon got a free kick in the 79th minute. Edgardo Ruisko, 80 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Severiano Maraman did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-4 to the left of a surprised Nemesio Batista 82 minutes into the match. After 88 played minutes Hughes FC got a freekick which was hit by Remigio Tab.
