Evelio Gorosti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Matteo in the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Hughes FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Fernando Valente fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Celestino Grabiel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Goren having to interfere. The supporters of Hughes FC booed when Salto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severo Sugar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernando Valente could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Diego Goren made a huge save. Salto's Evelio Gorosti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Matteo in the 30th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Matteo in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evelio Gorosti saved Salto from getting behind. When Hughes FC's Daniel Matteo in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Salto's goalie prevented a goal. In the 40th minute, Guido Lander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Severiano Maraman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Salto's Evelio Gorosti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severiano Maraman in the 46th minute of play. Severo Sugar kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 81 played minutes Hughes FC got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Abechuco. After a defensive mix-up in Hughes FC's zone, Fernando Valente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Goren came out of the goal and Fernando Valente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute, Severiano Maraman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Humberto Orlin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Evelio Gorosti, 0-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Hughes FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
