The referee ignored C.A.Temperley's protests and gave Claudio Petrigai a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Vampires Soccer Club booed when C.A.Temperley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Petrigai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elias Romelio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Gorosti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. C.A.Temperley's Elias Romelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nereo Gorosti in the 18th minute of play. When Isaac Quiroga came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Vampires Soccer Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaac Quiroga couldn't finish the play. Rafael Rico struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Gilberto Bihar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A.Temperley. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Rico got free with Gilberto Bihar in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 29th minute Isaac Quiroga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Romelio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodosio Atarrabi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teodosio Atarrabi made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Vampires Soccer Club's zone, Teodosio Atarrabi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Bihar came out of the goal and Teodosio Atarrabi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rafael Rico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Gilberto Bihar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilberto Bihar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rafael Rico went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ignacio Ourente during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 63rd minute, Ignacio Ourente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
