Circulo Italiano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shmebulockians FC the free kick. Luisito Romo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Arnas in the 33rd minute of the match. Bernardo Arnas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luisito Romo. Circulo Italiano's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Claudio Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudio Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Tomas Ekialde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. Artemio Tab sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustacio Lluc in the 80th minute of play forced Circulo Italiano's goalkeeper Luisito Romo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
