In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Leña y Leña's goalkeeper Maximino Salomon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tiburcio Artaldo kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Ovidio Ferran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Salomon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ovidio Ferran came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Marini AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ovidio Ferran couldn't finish the play. Eusebio Matai blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maximino Salomon having to make a save. Marini AFC's Teodoro Bonifaco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marciano Oliverios in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Cristo Alonso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 31 minutes, Ovidio Ferran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marini AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ovidio Ferran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ovidio Ferran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Marini AFC fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Marini AFC's Delmar Iratzeder looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Marciano Oliverios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Bonifaco having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Deportivo Leña y Leña's Jonatan Matro got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jonatan Matro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delmar Iratzeder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ovidio Ferran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 76 played minutes Deportivo Leña y Leña got a freekick which was hit by Cristo Alonso. In the 83rd minute of the match Tomás Guerrero shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teodoro Bonifaco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by Marini AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Moises Senon was slow to take the kick. During this time Deportivo Leña y Leña's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Deportivo Leña y Leña's corner Moises Senon fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Teodoro Bonifaco quite easily take care of the ball. In the 90th minute, Julio Raulo made a precise shot to the right of Teodoro Bonifaco. Marini AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The Marini AFC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Deportivo Leña y Leña from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
