Spectators: 7215 (Terracing: 5412, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Santos Timo started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Aguay FC's goalkeeper Gabriel Txatxu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 3 minutes of play, Banfield's Santos Timo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gabriel Txatxu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 6th minute Juan Pello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Lando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Banfield were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Aguay FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bonifacio Remigio took the corner. Banfield's Hipolito Beltza got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santos Timo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Gabriel Txatxu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th match minute, Banfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ariel Pere to maneuver through the defense. When Ariel Pere fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Banfield's protests and gave Ariel Pere a yellow card for diving instead. Ariel Pere kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Hipolito Beltza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Everardo Raymundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Gabriel Txatxu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Banfield's Zacarias Cristofol seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Zacarias Cristofol the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Banfield protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Zacarias Cristofol had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 44th minute, Aguay FC got a penalty, and Cristian Balasi placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juan Pello to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Juan Pello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Lando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Juan Pello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aguay FC's Teodoro Urko pulled a muscle in his back after 55 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hipolito Beltza during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 56th minute, Hipolito Beltza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cipriano Lando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Pello, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. If Juan Pello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Everardo Raymundo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Banfield's supporters rose to their feet, but Everardo Raymundo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Txatxu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aldo Rozarius struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Cipriano Lando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aguay FC. Banfield's Cipriano Lando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Pello in the 71st minute of play. If Everardo Raymundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Pello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Lando having to interfere. Juan Pello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Leopoldo Donostia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juan Pello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Cipriano Lando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Aldo Rozarius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Lando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
