The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lino Gaizkine blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcial Abar having to make a save. In the 5th minute, Rosendo Isauro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amador Oliverios stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Justo Cresencio's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Agronomía FC's Amador Oliverios played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justo Cresencio in the 8th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in el viejo fc's zone, Rolando Ereinotz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcial Abar came out of the goal and Rolando Ereinotz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Lino Gaizkine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, el viejo fc's goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Ereinotz came free, but Marcial Abar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Constantino Leobardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Rolando Ereinotz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Agronomía FC's goal looked a bit too open when Justo Cresencio came free, but Amador Oliverios reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st match minute, Agronomía FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristides Bernaldo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justo Cresencio in the 34th minute of play forced Agronomía FC's goalkeeper Amador Oliverios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Ereinotz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcial Abar having to interfere. Marcial Abar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lino Gaizkine in the 41st minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lino Gaizkine to make the kick off. Gerardo Ordono charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerardo Ordono the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 52nd minute, Gerardo Ordono hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amador Oliverios came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by el viejo fc's Justo Cresencio. But to his dismay, Justo Cresencio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Gerardo Ordono hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Amador Oliverios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justo Cresencio in the 64th minute of the match. Rolando Ereinotz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcial Abar having to interfere. Rolando Ereinotz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Justo Cresencio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd minute, Lino Gaizkine got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, el viejo fc's Marcial Abar got control of the ball when Rolando Ereinotz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lino Gaizkine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Marcial Abar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Carlos Caton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The el viejo fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. The el viejo fc support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
