Without hesitation aimed to the right of Godfredo Errolan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 13th minute Eliseo Mateo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godfredo Errolan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to El Defe getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Leo Fidensio hit a great ball. Severino Urtsua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Selatse having to interfere. When Eliseo Mateo came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Chancay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Mateo couldn't finish the play. Ovidio Selatse didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Severino Urtsua went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 45 minutes into the game, Donato Lluis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ovidio Selatse was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliseo Mateo was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Chancay getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Pablo Gai hit a great ball. Honorio Blasco charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Honorio Blasco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. During the 61st minute of the match Honorio Blasco completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Honorio Blasco a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Honorio Blasco hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Donato Lluis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Selatse having to interfere. 64 minutes into the game, Eliseo Mateo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chancay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Defe the free kick. Eliseo Mateo kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. El Defe's Donato Lluis got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Severino Urtsua had several of the Chancay's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 78 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Ovidio Selatse as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 83rd minute, Ariel Lizbeth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the match, Chancay's goalkeeper Ovidio Selatse had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Donato Lluis.
