If Melchor Umea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Melchor Umea took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Angel Sustrai. Angel Sustrai dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After the first half Tacuaritas were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Melquiades Beturian made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Virgilio Balasi during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The goalkeeper, Angel Sustrai, was totally fooled by Tacuaritas's Albino Paskal, who 54 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Braulio Aritza was extremely unlucky when he, in the 62nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 66th minute Melchor Umea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Sustrai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Garza IB's Angel Sustrai got control of the ball when Braulio Aritza tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Melquiades Beturian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alejo Jakue was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Feliberto Iratxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejo Jakue having to interfere. When Braulio Aritza came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Tacuaritas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Braulio Aritza couldn't finish the play. After having played for 92 minutes, Feliberto Iratxo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garza IB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Feliberto Iratxo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guillermo Guzman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejo Jakue having to interfere. A collision led to Tacuaritas getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Justo Pirro hit a great ball. In the 98th minute Garza IB were awarded a corner. Mario Manny went to the cornerflag to take it. Garza IB's Mario Manny was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alejo Jakue in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Tacuaritas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
