Spectators: 7341 (Terracing: 5527, Seating: 1694, VIP seats: 120) Maximo Caton started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Atletico Talleres's Cornelio Bemabe slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Isidro Cortez. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. Constancio Vilanova made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Txema in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Talleres's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Eduino came free, but Constancio Vilanova reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute Rodolfo Itzaina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidro Cortez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Bazkoare got free with Isidro Cortez in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Isidro Cortez stood somewhat misplaced when Maximo Caton came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 20 minute. Club Atletico Talleres's Cornelio Bemabe got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cornelio Bemabe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Caton in the 25th minute of play forced Mercedes FC's goalkeeper Isidro Cortez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isidro Cortez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cornelio Bemabe went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Mercedes FC's zone, Maximo Caton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isidro Cortez came out of the goal and Maximo Caton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Mercedes FC defense, Maximo Caton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Isidro Cortez. The Mercedes FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Isidro Cortez should have stopped the shot. In the 41st minute, Maximo Caton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 43 minutes into the game, Cornelio Bemabe recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Isidro Cortez. Cornelio Bemabe showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-1. Cornelio Bemabe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Isidro Cortez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mercedes FC's Isidro Cortez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Caton in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teodoro Txema was the one to do the kick off. Isidro Cortez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximo Caton, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Cornelio Bemabe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isidro Cortez. Mercedes FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cornelio Bemabe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. Cornelio Bemabe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Maximo Caton put it in 7-1 from a short distance just to the right of Isidro Cortez. 66 minutes into the game, Club Atletico Talleres's Eustacio Eleazar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isidro Cortez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-1. Isidro Cortez came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atletico Talleres's Octavio Salomon. But to his dismay, Octavio Salomon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-1. In the 74th minute Octavio Salomon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidro Cortez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isidro Cortez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maximo Caton went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 10-1 was the resulting score. 80 minutes into the match, Maximo Caton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isidro Cortez. Mercedes FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximo Caton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 11-1. Isidro Cortez came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atletico Talleres's Maximo Caton. But to his dismay, Maximo Caton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 12-1. In the 87th minute, Maximo Caton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atletico Talleres fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 13-1. In the 91st minute, Alberto Bazkoare ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isidro Cortez was frozen by the shot and now it was 14-1. Cornelio Bemabe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidro Cortez having to interfere. Club Atletico Talleres walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
