After 12 minutes of play, Mayuka's Alfonso Etor made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Augustinas Zubauskas was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Mayuka getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Teodoro Damario hit a great ball. Bernabe Azevedo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edelmiro Guilabertus having to make a save. Bernabe Azevedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Edelmiro Guilabertus made a huge save. 26 minutes into the match, Mayuka's goalkeeper Edelmiro Guilabertus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angel Fortun. In the 26th minute, Teodoro Arixo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bernabe Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Anchorena's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Etor came free, but Augustinas Zubauskas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 39th minute of the game. One of Mayuka:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Anchorena:s goal. Augustinas Zubauskas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvano Loiola, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Silvano Loiola made the kick off in the second half. Mayuka's Edelmiro Guilabertus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernabe Azevedo in the 55th minute of play. Mayuka's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Angel Fortun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 71 minutes, Aquiles Aires mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mayuka and the Anchorena players grew even worse after the yellow card. Edelmiro Guilabertus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angel Fortun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tadeo Larra in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Augustinas Zubauskas saved Anchorena from getting behind. In the 89th minute, Bernabe Azevedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Anchorena fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 96th minute of the match Bernabe Azevedo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edelmiro Guilabertus skillfully saved the ball. Anchorena walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
