But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uriel Pes couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute, Oscar Milian ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baldomiro Guilabertus was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 37 minutes into the game, Kamer Tanyolaç was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Languiñeo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boca Juniors the free kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Baldomiro Guilabertus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauricio Gomez, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Languiñeo's goal looked a bit too open when Uriel Pes came free, but Baldomiro Guilabertus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boca Juniors's Andrea Herrera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Boca Juniors from getting a goal against them. In the 90th minute Mauricio Gomez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomiro Guilabertus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 92 minutes Languiñeo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mauricio Gomez who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Oscar Milian heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Genaro Etxatxu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baldomiro Guilabertus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Baldomiro Guilabertus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uriel Pes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Boca Juniors had won after a very even match.
