Oscar Milian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Johnny Gräf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sportivo Cinzano's Johnny Gräf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uriel Pes in the 6th minute of play. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when Sportivo Cinzano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natxo Urquijo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th match minute, Sportivo Cinzano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giannis Tsimilis to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Uriel Pes in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Johnny Gräf saved Sportivo Cinzano from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Mauricio Gomez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boca Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauricio Gomez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnny Gräf breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leon Admon made in the 12th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Giannis Tsimilis immediately put the ball in play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Uriel Pes in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Johnny Gräf prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Boca Juniors's Uriel Araoz got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Boca Juniors's Uriel Pes in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sportivo Cinzano's goalie prevented a goal. Johnny Gräf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uriel Pes in the 21st minute of play. In the 26th minute of the match Emanuel Urre shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Johnny Gräf showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Sportivo Cinzano's goal looked a bit too open when Uriel Pes came free, but Johnny Gräf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boca Juniors's Andrea Herrera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Boca Juniors from getting a goal against them. If Uriel Pes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Boca Juniors's Uriel Pes in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sportivo Cinzano's goalie prevented a goal. 41 minutes into the match, Sportivo Cinzano's goal looked a bit too open when Mauricio Gomez came free, but Johnny Gräf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Johnny Gräf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauricio Gomez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Boca Juniors's Virgilio Gaztea got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arturo Bernebe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Andrea Herrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Bernebe in the 51st minute of play. Uriel Pes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 55 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Geronimo Theodore. When Bonifacio Reynardo fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sportivo Cinzano's protests and gave Bonifacio Reynardo a yellow card for diving instead. After 57 played minutes Sportivo Cinzano got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Reynardo. Johnny Gräf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauricio Gomez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute Arturo Bernebe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrea Herrera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natxo Urquijo in the 64th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Andrea Herrera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 70 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Urre. Andrea Herrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Bernebe in the 73rd minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 76th minute by Uriel Pes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Uriel Pes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Johnny Gräf having to make a save. In the 81st minute of the match, Uriel Pes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Johnny Gräf saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sportivo Cinzano's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mauricio Gomez was slow to take the kick. During this time Boca Juniors's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Uriel Pes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Johnny Gräf quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Uriel Araoz struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Johnny Gräf didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boca Juniors. If Uriel Pes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 93 minutes into the match, Arturo Bernebe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andrea Herrera. Boca Juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arturo Bernebe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors's Mauricio Gomez got a free kick in the 96th minute. Boca Juniors were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Sportivo Cinzano to leave the ground with a draw.
