Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Uriel Pes started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th minute Uriel Pes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Aballe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodosio Aballe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uriel Pes in the 7th minute of play. In the 13thth minute of the game Uriel Pes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tarragona FC's Teodosio Aballe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mauricio Gomez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teodosio Aballe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Teodosio Aballe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauricio Gomez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Uriel Pes in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teodosio Aballe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Teodosio Aballe made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Uriel Pes sent off a good shot on target. Mauricio Gomez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Teodosio Aballe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teodosio Aballe was out of position in the 34 minute of play, and Mauricio Gomez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mauricio Gomez really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Uriel Pes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodosio Aballe having to interfere. With a little luck, Tarragona FC's Teodosio Aballe got control of the ball when Uriel Pes tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Mauricio Gomez came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauricio Gomez couldn't finish the play. 45 minutes into the match, Tarragona FC's goal looked a bit too open when Uriel Pes came free, but Teodosio Aballe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 46 minutes, Mauricio Gomez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boca Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauricio Gomez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when Tarragona FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Nabar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Uriel Pes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boca Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Uriel Pes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodosio Aballe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tarragona FC's Teodosio Aballe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uriel Pes in the 57th minute of play. Mauricio Gomez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodosio Aballe having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Uriel Pes in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teodosio Aballe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Uriel Pes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Geronimo Theodore struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Teodosio Aballe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boca Juniors. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when Tarragona FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Nabar didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Uriel Pes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teodosio Aballe was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. In the 72nd match minute, Tarragona FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evelio Nabar to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the game, Uriel Pes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Teodosio Aballe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 78th minute, Virgilio Gaztea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teodosio Aballe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. There was no doubt that Boca Juniors were the better team. Boca Juniors's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
