Pink Floyd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inocencio Playo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeremias Maidana had several of the Sportivo Cinzano's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 36 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Johnny Gräf as he didn't even see the shot coming. Johnny Gräf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inocencio Playo in the 44th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Inocencio Playo to strike the kick off in the second half. Giannis Tsimilis kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Johnny Gräf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inocencio Playo, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. When Baldomero Romero fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sportivo Cinzano's protests and gave Baldomero Romero a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th minute, Baldomero Romero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonas Primeiro was a little too slow when Arturo Bernebe got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 1-1. Jeremias Maidana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Johnny Gräf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 75 minutes of play Sportivo Cinzano's Baldomero Romero was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Pink Floyd booed when Sportivo Cinzano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Romero didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 90 played minutes Pink Floyd got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Lapurdi. Giannis Tsimilis hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
