Maximo Min took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Ramirez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Despeñaderos fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Despeñaderos's Arnaldo Ramirez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Arnaldo Ramirez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maximo Min read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. When Gaston Urdaspal came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Despeñaderos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaston Urdaspal couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Ramirez in the 36th minute of play forced Barrial AFC's goalkeeper Maximo Min to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cipriano Pero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Gregorio Calisto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Arnaldo Ramirez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Maximo Min showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaston Urdaspal in the 42nd minute of the match. Augusto Pio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Gaston Urdaspal struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Maximo Min didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Despeñaderos. The crowd rose to their feet as Gaston Urdaspal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Maximo Min. That made the score 0-4 in the 54 minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, Barrial AFC's Cipriano Pero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gregorio Calisto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Despeñaderos's Gregorio Calisto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantino Cristos in the 66th minute of play. Maximo Min made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Arnaldo Ramirez sent off a good shot on target. Gaston Urdaspal received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Maximo Min came out and tried to block the shot, but Gaston Urdaspal slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 71st minute. Gaston Urdaspal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnaldo Ramirez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Despeñaderos made a substitution. Denis Bidun replaced Arnaldo Ramirez. After 96 minutes of play, Barrial AFC's Augusto Pio made it 2-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gregorio Calisto was left in no man's land by his defense there!
