Spectators: 7211 (Terracing: 5409, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 143) Cesar Ermengol started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Fabricio Rosio hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. When Cesar Ermengol came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Once Pitus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesar Ermengol couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Deportivo Castro getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Arnoldo Mederi hit a great ball. Astor Christobal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Sein in the 12th minute of play. Isidoro Medardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Ermengol, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Isidoro Medardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesar Ermengol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Godfredo Abastas's late challenge caught a Deportivo Castro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Godfredo Abastas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th minute, Godfredo Abastas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oscar Sein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Serafin Gauargi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonardo Oxel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Astor Christobal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Astor Christobal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Oxel in the 47th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Leonardo Oxel made the kick off in the second half. Arnoldo Mederi kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Oscar Sein's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Astor Christobal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Serafin Gauargi might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isidoro Medardo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Serafin Gauargi ran back to his position shaking his head. 60 minutes into the match, Once Pitus's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Oxel came free, but Astor Christobal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Deportivo Castro's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Ermengol came free, but Isidoro Medardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 70 minutes, Zeledon Bermudez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Once Pitus and the Deportivo Castro players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 70th match minute, Once Pitus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeledon Bermudez to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd match minute, Deportivo Castro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melchor Mogel to maneuver through the defense. After 79 minutes of play, Once Pitus's Cesar Ermengol made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Isidoro Medardo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Leonardo Oxel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Once Pitus's Astor Christobal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Once Pitus from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serafin Gauargi in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isidoro Medardo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Deportivo Castro's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
