Spectators: 6661 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Leo Ilixo made the kick off which started today's match. 4 minutes into the match, Cerrillos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Merexildo came free, but Prudencio Fernandes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute, Saturnino Rufo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fulgencio Oidor was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Omar Lleir hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute Saturnino Rufo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Oidor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Esquina FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Ilixo came free, but Fulgencio Oidor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Fulgencio Oidor managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Cerrillos FC's Saturnino Rufo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Esquina FC's goalkeeper Fulgencio Oidor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 44 minutes into the game, Jose Eneas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Esquina FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cerrillos FC the free kick. A collision led to Esquina FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Jose Eneas hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zeledon Arano made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Saturnino Rufo notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Esquina FC's Fulgencio Oidor. Fulgencio Oidor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 55 minutes, Erasmo Baleren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cerrillos FC and the Esquina FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 55 played minutes Cerrillos FC got a freekick which was hit by Erasmo Baleren. In the 56th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Arsenio Firman hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. Saturnino Rufo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zeledon Arano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 76 minutes into the match, Matias Merexildo notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Cerrillos FC's Prudencio Fernandes. Prudencio Fernandes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fulgencio Oidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saturnino Rufo in the 82nd minute of the match. Fulgencio Oidor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adan Ixona, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Fulgencio Oidor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leo Ilixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saturnino Rufo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Fulgencio Oidor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cerrillos FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
