Instituto Atlético C.C's Gaitán Mery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saturnino Rufo in the 9th minute of play. Clodoveo Totakoxe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Prudencio Fernandes made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Cerrillos FC's Leo Ilixo got a free kick in the 15th minute. Instituto Atlético C.C's Clodoveo Totakoxe got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Clodoveo Totakoxe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Instituto Atlético C.C's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Ilixo came free, but Gaitán Mery reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaitán Mery took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leo Ilixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Cordarell's late challenge caught a Cerrillos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Cordarell helped the player get up and apologised. After 29 played minutes Instituto Atlético C.C got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Cordarell. A collision led to Instituto Atlético C.C getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Pablo Gotzon hit a great ball. Clodoveo Totakoxe struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Prudencio Fernandes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Instituto Atlético C.C. The crowd rose to their feet as Pedro Cordarell kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Prudencio Fernandes. That made the score 1-0 in the 36 minute of play. Prudencio Fernandes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clodoveo Totakoxe in the 42nd minute of the match. When Clodoveo Totakoxe, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 44 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Prudencio Fernandes was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Prudencio Fernandes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Clodoveo Totakoxe's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leo Ilixo made a kick off. When Clodoveo Totakoxe came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Instituto Atlético C.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clodoveo Totakoxe couldn't finish the play. 56 minutes into the match, Instituto Atlético C.C's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Ilixo came free, but Gaitán Mery reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saturnino Rufo took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gaitán Mery. Gaitán Mery dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Clodoveo Totakoxe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th match minute, Instituto Atlético C.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Nuno to maneuver through the defense. Prudencio Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clodoveo Totakoxe, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Prudencio Fernandes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. 92 minutes into the match, Cerrillos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Clodoveo Totakoxe came free, but Prudencio Fernandes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Rogelio Dimo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rogelio Dimo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Instituto Atlético C.C's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
