In the 15th minute Vinicio Mendiko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Constancio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 15 minutes, Vicente Bidun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Lorenzo 11's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente Bidun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Vicente Bidun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. San Lorenzo 11's Aldo Bilintx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siro Bernaldo in the 34th minute of play. Vicente Bidun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Oscar Constancio made a huge save. Vinicio Mendiko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Vinicio Mendiko sped through Antilla's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Oscar Constancio. The supporters of San Lorenzo 11 booed when Antilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severiano Mazuste didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oscar Constancio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinicio Mendiko, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Oscar Constancio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Bidun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vinicio Mendiko struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Oscar Constancio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Lorenzo 11. Oscar Constancio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinicio Mendiko in the 88th minute of play. After 92 played minutes Antilla got a freekick which was hit by Everardo Bartoli. San Lorenzo 11's Elpidio Benat got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, San Lorenzo 11's Aldo Bilintx got control of the ball when Severiano Mazuste tried to sneak it across the goal line. San Lorenzo 11 walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
