In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gran Torino's goalkeeper Artemio Barros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lázaro Bernard might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jozef Wandzik. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lázaro Bernard ran back to his position shaking his head. Lázaro Bernard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Jozef Wandzik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Zurdo FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Eugenio Rudolfo hit a great ball. Artemio Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernandinho Rodrigues in the 15th minute of play. Gran Torino's Artemio Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Traian Prelipceanu in the 20th minute of play. In the 22ndth minute of the game Fernandinho Rodrigues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gran Torino's Artemio Barros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Gran Torino's Lázaro Bernard sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jozef Wandzik narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernandinho Rodrigues in the 25th minute of play forced Gran Torino's goalkeeper Artemio Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jozef Wandzik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lázaro Bernard in the 27th minute of the match. Fernandinho Rodrigues who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Artemio Barros when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Artemio Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Conrao in the 35th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 37 minutes into the game, when Timoteo Lesardo put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 37th minute of the game. One of Gran Torino:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Zurdo FC:s goal. Gran Torino:s Artemio Barros showed great skill when he stopped Fernandinho Rodrigues:s penalty. The corner led to Zurdo FC's Eugenio Rudolfo getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 46 minutes into the game, Gran Torino's Lázaro Bernard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jozef Wandzik made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Zurdo FC's Fernandinho Rodrigues in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gran Torino's goalie prevented a goal. After 63 minutes, Fernandinho Rodrigues made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Gran Torino's Artemio Barros tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Zurdo FC's Ildefonso Lopez got a free kick in the 65th minute. Fernandinho Rodrigues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gran Torino's Lázaro Bernard got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 75th minute by Gerardo Llorenc got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Zurdo FC's Fabian Neto was substituted for Leandro Fiz. In the 86th match minute, Gran Torino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerardo Llorenc to maneuver through the defense. Fernandinho Rodrigues's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artemio Barros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Jozef Wandzik made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lázaro Bernard in the 92nd minute. After a rather tough play, Gran Torino's Aristides Serafo got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Artemio Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernandinho Rodrigues in the 97th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Zurdo FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
