When Ivan Casado fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ubajay's protests and gave Ivan Casado a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th minute Igor Anaya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but German Hernando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ubajay's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Atletico Atlas FC's Anibal Cilio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but German Hernando in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Anibal Cilio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without German Hernando having to interfere. German Hernando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anibal Cilio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enrique Lekubegi during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Leonardo Llin's late challenge caught a Atletico Atlas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonardo Llin helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ubajay getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Leonardo Llin hit a great ball. After 35 minutes Ubajay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Anibal Cilio who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Anibal Cilio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this German Hernando quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a little luck, Atletico Atlas FC's Ruperto Domiku got control of the ball when Edgard Lordi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edgard Lordi's late challenge caught a Atletico Atlas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgard Lordi helped the player get up and apologised. After 38 played minutes Ubajay got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Lordi. Hector Aurre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without German Hernando having to interfere. Edgard Lordi scored 1-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ruperto Domiku, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gustavo Benvide charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustavo Benvide the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ubajay getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Gustavo Benvide hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hector Aurre was the one to do the kick off. Enrique Lekubegi got his second yellow card in the match during the 51st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 52 played minutes Atletico Atlas FC got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Lekubegi. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Atletico Atlas FC's Ruperto Domiku played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Venancio Guib in the 61st minute of play. If Gustavo Benvide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Atletico Atlas FC booed when Ubajay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Nardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Anaya in the 71st minute of play forced Ubajay's goalkeeper German Hernando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Edgard Lordi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ubajay's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgard Lordi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruperto Domiku breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tobias Ruy charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tobias Ruy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tobias Ruy hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. A throw-in in the 81st minute of the game was made by Fabio Goiz with Fausto Abeita as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After 83 played minutes Ubajay got a freekick which was hit by Bernardino Giraldo. German Hernando stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Igor Anaya's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Ruperto Domiku made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Lordi in the 86th minute of play. After 87 minutes of play Ubajay's Gustavo Benvide was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Ubajay getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Gustavo Benvide hit a great ball. When Anibal Cilio came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Atletico Atlas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anibal Cilio couldn't finish the play. Ivan Casado hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. German Hernando didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 96th minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
