Ernestina FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donato Txomin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 9 played minutes Ernestina FC got a freekick which was hit by Benedicto Gaskon. Darryl Lim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Galindo in the 14th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Celestino Modestio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Córdoba City FC's Alejandro Lugo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Benedicto Gaskon, made in the 20th minute of the game. After 22 minutes, Fabio Endira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ernestina FC and the Córdoba City FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fabio Endira hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The referee showed Donato Txomin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Txomin in the 31st minute of play forced Ernestina FC's goalkeeper Darryl Lim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Darryl Lim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Txomin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Donato Txomin came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Córdoba City FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donato Txomin couldn't finish the play. Darryl Lim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Augusto Galindo's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Córdoba City FC's Donato Txomin got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. During the 47th minute of the match Donato Txomin completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Donato Txomin a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 47th match minute, Córdoba City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Txomin to maneuver through the defense. The Ernestina FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Córdoba City FC were winning 0-1.

Augusto Galindo hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Cristobal Bartolome kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Ernestina FC's Darryl Lim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Ernestina FC from getting a goal against them. Darryl Lim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celestino Modestio in the 58th minute. In the 58th minute, Córdoba City FC's Celestino Modestio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Darryl Lim. Darryl Lim yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Augusto Galindo struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Darryl Lim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Córdoba City FC. Ernestina FC's Darryl Lim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Ernestina FC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augusto Galindo got free with Darryl Lim in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Celestino Modestio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 75 minutes into the match, Ernestina FC's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Galindo came free, but Darryl Lim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Córdoba City FC's Augusto Galindo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 77th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ernestina FC's zone, Augusto Galindo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Darryl Lim came out of the goal and Augusto Galindo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
