Spectators: 7354 (Terracing: 5516, Seating: 1691, VIP seats: 147) The supporters of Candelaria booed when Monaco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teobaldo Guib didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 7 minutes, Ernesto Dayam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Candelaria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernesto Dayam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ernesto Dayam blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raimundo Francis having to make a save. Raimundo Francis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernesto Dayam's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. When Martin Baristo came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Candelaria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Baristo couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute Ernesto Dayam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Francis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Martin Baristo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Primitivo Cristofor hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute Martin Baristo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Francis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Candelaria's Ernesto Dayam sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raimundo Francis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ernesto Dayam recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 49th minute Ernesto Dayam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Francis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martin Baristo made a kick off. Gregorio Jesco kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martin Baristo in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raimundo Francis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Martin Baristo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Raimundo Francis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martin Baristo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 77 minutes in the game, Martin Baristo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Raimundo Francis having to interfere. After 80 minutes, Maximino Naike mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monaco and the Candelaria players grew even worse after the yellow card. Martin Baristo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Monaco's zone, Martin Baristo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Francis came out of the goal and Martin Baristo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ernesto Dayam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Baristo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Francis having to interfere. Monaco's Raimundo Francis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Baristo in the 94th minute of play. Ernesto Dayam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Raimundo Francis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Monaco were victorious despite being under pressure from Candelaria for much of the match.
