Spectators: 7491 (Terracing: 5619, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rahmi Kutlar started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Traill booed when Lugano Star C.D was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Segundo Bernabel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Lugano Star C.D defense, Victor Sidro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnulfo Ramos. The Lugano Star C.D fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnulfo Ramos should have stopped the shot. Andres Farias's late challenge caught a Traill's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andres Farias helped the player get up and apologised. Arnulfo Ramos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rahmi Kutlar in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th match minute, Traill was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximino Nahia to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andres Farias in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tadeo Pietro saved Traill from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Sidro got free with Arnulfo Ramos in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lugano Star C.D's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Elvio Beltran scored to the left of an out of position Arnulfo Ramos, making the score, 2-0. Lugano Star C.D's Arnulfo Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rahmi Kutlar in the 41st minute of play. Elvio Beltran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnulfo Ramos having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Tadeo Pietro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luisito Galsino in the 60th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Zdeněk Rychetský had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnulfo Ramos. Lugano Star C.D's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zdeněk Rychetský was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 71st minute, Blas Abella hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andres Farias who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Tadeo Pietro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tadeo Pietro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Segundo Bernabel in the 75th minute. 77 minutes into the game, Pacifico Tejadillo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tadeo Pietro. Pacifico Tejadillo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. Blas Abella hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Tadeo Pietro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Farias, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After 87th play minutes Andres Farias shot 3-2, a short shot which went by Tadeo Pietro and just under the crossbar into goal. Lugano Star C.D's Arnulfo Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvio Beltran in the 96th minute of play. Traill were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Lugano Star C.D for a fine match.
