Edgard Sindo hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in San Lorenzo fc's zone, Ciro Goito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mario Boniel came out of the goal and Ciro Goito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, San Lorenzo fc's Mario Boniel got control of the ball when Honorio Fortun tried to sneak it across the goal line. Honorio Fortun who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Mario Boniel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Fabio Tancredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Tancredo in the 24th minute of play forced Atletico Juventud FC's goalkeeper Hermengildo Beila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32ndth minute of the game Fabio Tancredo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atletico Juventud FC's Hermengildo Beila was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Fabio Tancredo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hermengildo Beila. Atletico Juventud FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabio Tancredo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Fabio Tancredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabio Tancredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Hermengildo Beila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mario Boniel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Honorio Fortun in the 44th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Roque Loreto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mario Boniel. That made the score 3-1 in the 45 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabio Tancredo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Erasmo Rojelio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Atletico Juventud FC booed when San Lorenzo fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Veremundo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reynaldo Abarca struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Mario Boniel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atletico Juventud FC. Mario Boniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honorio Fortun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo fc's goal looked a bit too open when Honorio Fortun came free, but Mario Boniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgard Sindo hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. When the referee ended the match the Atletico Juventud FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
