In the 8th minute, Fausto Fernado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mario Boniel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Paulino Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anacleto Vedillo having to interfere. San Lorenzo fc's Fabio Tancredo got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Mataderos FC's Anacleto Vedillo got control of the ball when Fabio Tancredo tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Mataderos FC's Isaias Ekain in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye San Lorenzo fc's goalie prevented a goal. In the 33rd match minute, Mataderos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaias Ekain to maneuver through the defense. Fausto Fernado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Edgard Sindo kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Marcelo Tome took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mario Boniel. San Lorenzo fc's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Isaias Ekain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Mario Boniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of San Lorenzo fc booed when Mataderos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Tome didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 64 minutes, Fabio Tancredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Lorenzo fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabio Tancredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luis Otoniel hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the match Isaias Ekain climbed in front of goal and pressed up 1-4 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Mario Boniel. The supporters of Mataderos FC booed when San Lorenzo fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Vargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mataderos FC's Marcelo Tome shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 78th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Mario Boniel but with some difficulty. In the 80th minute of the match Evaristo Sanches shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anacleto Vedillo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Isaias Ekain notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of San Lorenzo fc's Mario Boniel. Mario Boniel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Mataderos FC defense, Fabio Tancredo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anacleto Vedillo. The Mataderos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anacleto Vedillo should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mataderos FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
