Luis Otoniel charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Otoniel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of LA VECCHIA SIGNORA FC booed when San Lorenzo fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Otoniel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abelardo Luzea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Boniel having to interfere. Mario Boniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paolo Mosen in the 28th minute of play. Mario Boniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Luzea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabio Tancredo didn't quite understand what happened when in the 34 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. If Paolo Mosen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 43rd minute, Paolo Mosen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. San Lorenzo fc's Luis Otoniel quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gaudencio Quirce, made in the 46th minute of the game. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabio Tancredo made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abelardo Luzea got free with Mario Boniel in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rodrigo Ponciano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Tancredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Otoniel in the 59th minute of play forced LA VECCHIA SIGNORA FC's goalkeeper Rodrigo Ponciano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, LA VECCHIA SIGNORA FC's Abelardo Luzea got a free kick in the 64th minute. Amadeo Koldo hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Paolo Mosen managed to get in a good position for a shot. LA VECCHIA SIGNORA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paolo Mosen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. LA VECCHIA SIGNORA FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing San Lorenzo fc to leave the ground with a draw.
