When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Jeronimo Asteri sped through Mataderos FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anacleto Vedillo. Marcos Gergori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Salomon in the 25th minute of play. Marcos Gergori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Fernado in the 27th minute of the match. Anacleto Vedillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeronimo Asteri in the 29th minute of play. Jeronimo Asteri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcos Gergori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Fernado, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. If Isaias Ekain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Gergori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Fernado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Gergori made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Teodoro Evarado sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, Mataderos FC's Marcos Gergori threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fausto Fernado, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After the first half Corea Grande were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Fausto Fernado made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, Corea Grande was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Gitano to maneuver through the defense. Marcos Gergori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Fernado in the 58th minute of play. Fausto Fernado scored 1-1 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Gergori, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Mataderos FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Teodoro Evarado hit a great ball. Cesar Loreto hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the match, Mataderos FC's goalkeeper Anacleto Vedillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeronimo Asteri. In the 74th minute Alvaro Salomon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Gergori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Leonardo Txilar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 79 minutes into the match, Corea Grande's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Fernado came free, but Marcos Gergori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isaias Ekain in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Gergori prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With 86 minutes on the clock, Cesar Loreto commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 85th minute, one of Corea Grande:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Corea Grande. The referee gave Mataderos FC a penalty, 88 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Marcelo Tome, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Corea Grande's Marcos Gergori. 2-1. Marcos Gergori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaias Ekain in the 90th minute of the match. Teodoro Evarado's late challenge caught a Corea Grande's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodoro Evarado helped the player get up and apologised. When the referee ended the match the Mataderos FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
