Anacleto Vedillo came out of the goal and Honorio Fortun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ciro Goito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciro Goito in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anacleto Vedillo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hermengildo Beila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Fernado, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Honorio Fortun got free with Anacleto Vedillo in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Isaias Ekain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermengildo Beila having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ciro Goito to make the kick off. Anacleto Vedillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Goito, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. If Fausto Fernado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Fernado in the 71st minute of play forced Atletico Juventud FC's goalkeeper Hermengildo Beila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Honorio Fortun notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Mataderos FC's Anacleto Vedillo. Anacleto Vedillo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 76th minute Fausto Fernado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermengildo Beila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atletico Juventud FC's Ciro Goito got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mataderos FC's Anacleto Vedillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorio Fortun in the 93rd minute of play.
