Severiano Eneto lost his temper 35 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Şansal Dalga got free with Moises Galsino in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 74th match minute, Club San Martin de Salta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulf Lidström to maneuver through the defense. 77 minutes into the game, one of Club San Martin de Salta:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Club San Martin de Salta's James Madison got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sergio Ranolfo made in the 89th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Club San Martin de Salta's Nicanor Su. Şansal Dalga was extremely unlucky when he, in the 91st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the match was over Club San Martin de Salta could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Deportes 4 de junio throughout the match.
