When Marcelo Gaueko came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Garupá fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Gaueko couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulises Lastur in the 13th minute of play forced Midland's goalkeeper Orlando Dei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelo Gaueko in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Orlando Dei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Christian Emmanuel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Alejandro Fix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Midland's Orlando Dei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulises Lastur in the 20th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Ulises Lastur managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garupá's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulises Lastur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orlando Dei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 25 minutes into the match, Midland's goal looked a bit too open when Ulises Lastur came free, but Orlando Dei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian Emmanuel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Midland's Orlando Dei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Midland from getting a goal against them. Marcelo Gaueko who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Orlando Dei when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Christian Emmanuel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 45th minute of the match Roberto Colon sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alejandro Fix skillfully saved the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Garupá's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Emmanuel came free, but Alejandro Fix reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the game, one of Midland:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Garupá a penalty, 93 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alejo Dalmu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Midland's Orlando Dei. 1-2. When the final whistle sounded Midland left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Garupá.
