Spectators: 7465 (Terracing: 5596, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 147) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ulises Lastur took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Atlético Mermoz's Aaron Ritchie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alejandro Fix narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 5th minute Felix Orte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejandro Fix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Atlético Mermoz's Felix Orte in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Garupá's goalie prevented a goal. After 8 played minutes Garupá got a freekick which was hit by Victor Giraldo. Alejandro Fix made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Rosendo Barbosa sent off a good shot on target. 11 minutes into the match, Garupá's goalkeeper Alejandro Fix had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aaron Ritchie. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Aaron Ritchie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Mermoz's supporters rose to their feet, but Aaron Ritchie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alejandro Fix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alejandro Fix made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aaron Ritchie in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute, Felix Orte fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alejandro Fix, passed just outside the right post. A well placed Felix Orte short distance shot in the 21st minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. After 24 minutes, Erasmo Azubeli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Garupá and the Atlético Mermoz players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th minute, Erasmo Azubeli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 25 minutes of play Garupá's Erasmo Azubeli was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Garupá's Erasmo Azubeli got a free kick in the 26th minute. Rosendo Barbosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alejandro Fix. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rosendo Barbosa ran back to his position shaking his head. Rosendo Barbosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Alejandro Fix made a huge save. Felix Orte succeeded in the game's 36th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. In the 40th minute, Aaron Ritchie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alejandro Fix was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Garupá's zone, Aaron Ritchie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alejandro Fix came out of the goal and Aaron Ritchie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Garupá's Alejandro Fix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Jerico in the 48th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felix Orte was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Rosendo Barbosa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alejandro Fix. Garupá's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rosendo Barbosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Alejandro Fix came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Mermoz's Aaron Ritchie. But to his dismay, Aaron Ritchie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felix Orte in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alejandro Fix prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Victor Giraldo hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Aaron Ritchie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcelo Gaueko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Arnulfo Txema made a huge save. In the 67th minute of the match, Narciso Gurutz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Arnulfo Txema was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Felix Orte scored 6-0 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alejandro Fix, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aaron Ritchie took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alejandro Fix. Alejandro Fix dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. 81 minutes into the game, Atlético Mermoz's Aaron Ritchie nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alejandro Fix made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Felix Orte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Alejandro Fix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 9-0 when Aaron Ritchie sped through Garupá's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alejandro Fix. In the 91stth minute of the game Felix Orte who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Garupá's Alejandro Fix was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 91 minutes into the game, Marco Mannuel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garupá's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Mermoz the free kick. In the 91st match minute, Garupá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Mannuel to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Orte in the 95th minute of play forced Garupá's goalkeeper Alejandro Fix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atlético Mermoz's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
