The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute Roberto Fenomeno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Pirmin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 4th minute of the match Cieneguita PQ got a corner. TXI 1993's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Haroldo Artal ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Haroldo Artal got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Basilio Pirmin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Roberto Fenomeno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basilio Pirmin having to interfere. Octavio Rik took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Basilio Pirmin. Basilio Pirmin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Roberto Fenomeno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the match, Patrick Viera notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of TXI 1993's Basilio Pirmin. Basilio Pirmin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 22 minutes into the game, Cieneguita PQ's Octavio Rik nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Basilio Pirmin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Roberto Fenomeno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. TXI 1993's Basilio Pirmin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Fenomeno in the 31st minute of play. Basilio Pirmin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavio Rik in the 32nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in TXI 1993's zone, Roberto Fenomeno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basilio Pirmin came out of the goal and Roberto Fenomeno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The TXI 1993 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cieneguita PQ were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when Roberto Fenomeno made the kick off in the second half. Roberto Fenomeno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Haroldo Artal in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Basilio Pirmin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 58th minute, but Basilio Pirmin got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving TXI 1993 hanging dry this time. 58 minutes into the match, Octavio Rik dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Basilio Pirmin, 0-4. In the 62nd minute, Cieneguita PQ's Roberto Fenomeno ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Basilio Pirmin. Basilio Pirmin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in TXI 1993's zone, Roberto Fenomeno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basilio Pirmin came out of the goal and Roberto Fenomeno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 70 minutes into the game, Roberto Fenomeno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Basilio Pirmin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roberto Fenomeno in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Basilio Pirmin saved TXI 1993 from getting behind. 77 minutes into the game, Roberto Fenomeno lined in a short shot 0-7 behind a frustrated Basilio Pirmin. 80 minutes into the game, Roberto Fenomeno lined in a short shot 0-8 behind a frustrated Basilio Pirmin. The crowd rose to their feet as Cieneguita PQ's Roberto Fenomeno slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Basilio Pirmin. That made the score 0-10 after 89 minutes of play. After having played for 92 minutes, Roberto Fenomeno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cieneguita PQ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roberto Fenomeno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roberto Fenomeno struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Basilio Pirmin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cieneguita PQ. Cieneguita PQ played a much better game than TXI 1993 and deserved their victory. The TXI 1993 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
