AFC Richmond's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adolfo Damario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the River Plate defense, Victoriano Ferran kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rigoberto Musko. The River Plate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rigoberto Musko should have stopped the shot. If Aurelio Osoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Victoriano Ferran sped through River Plate's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rigoberto Musko. Gabriel Jesco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Musko having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Victoriano Ferran came free, but Rigoberto Musko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 minutes of play, AFC Richmond's Victoriano Ferran made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rigoberto Musko was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 46 minutes of play, AFC Richmond's Adolfo Damario made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rigoberto Musko was left in no man's land by his defense there!

Rigoberto Musko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victoriano Ferran's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Damario came free, but Rigoberto Musko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. AFC Richmond played a much better game than River Plate and deserved their victory. The River Plate players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
