With a left leg Osvaldo Maju saved Club Atlético Bangsbo from getting behind. After 21 played minutes Roosevelt got a freekick which was hit by Jimeno Xacintu. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Nereo Salvino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Bangsbo's supporters rose to their feet, but Nereo Salvino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Jordy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maximo Oier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Maju having to interfere. If Eriberto Bixintxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredo Gilabert got free with Fabio Jordy in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roosevelt's Fabio Jordy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nereo Salvino in the 44th minute of play. Alfredo Gilabert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maximo Oier to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Samuel Iturri during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eriberto Bixintxo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arturo Walme hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Bangsbo's goal looked a bit too open when Maximo Oier came free, but Osvaldo Maju reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Roosevelt's zone, Nereo Salvino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabio Jordy came out of the goal and Nereo Salvino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Oier in the 95th minute of play forced Club Atlético Bangsbo's goalkeeper Osvaldo Maju to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Roosevelt had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
