Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Torrente's Xulián Amezqueta started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Torrente booed when Holmberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Bazil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ragnar Brodin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Raymond in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Elpidio Cidro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Holmberg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Torrente the free kick. Elpidio Cidro hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the game, Torrente's Elpidio Raymond nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ragnar Brodin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 17 minutes into the match, Holmberg's goal looked a bit too open when Xulián Amezqueta came free, but Ragnar Brodin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leo Clementi was the one to do the kick off. Elpidio Cidro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Odilón De la Barra having to interfere. Xulián Amezqueta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ragnar Brodin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arsenio Naike, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Israel Intxixu kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Ricardo Cefero shot a long shot in the 60th minute and a light blocked Ragnar Brodin hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 0-3. If Martin Payero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Rodolfo Rumaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Godfredo Galtero charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Godfredo Galtero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a little luck, Holmberg's Ragnar Brodin got control of the ball when Martin Payero tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ragnar Brodin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xulián Amezqueta in the 75th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 78 minutes, Ragnar Brodin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Torrente made a substitution. Samuel Unax replaced Xulián Amezqueta. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by Holmberg's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ricardo Cefero was slow to take the kick. During this time Torrente's players had a chance to rest. In the 90th minute, Leo Clementi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raimundo Benvide took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Odilón De la Barra. Torrente's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Torrente played a much better game than Holmberg and deserved their victory. The Holmberg players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
